In Los Angeles, one third of the 58,000 people who are homeless are families and youth. Imagine LA is breaking their cycle of poverty and neglect by partnering volunteer mentors with families emerging out of homelessness and connecting them with community resources, recognizing that a roof over one's head is just the starting point to a better life. Imagine LA's mentorship model has been so successful that the LA County Department of Health Services challenged the non-profit to provide their program to hundreds more families -- to grow as quickly as possible. Rebecca came on board in May 2017 to create, elevate and execute communications and outreach plans to recruit mentors and position Imagine LA as a thought leader and expert in this arena, and a demonstrated solution to the homelessness crisis in Los Angeles.
