For Evite, the online invitations and social planning leader, we publicized the launch of their newest platform and most significant innovation since the company started in 1998: Evite Postmark.
Working with Evite’s marketing team and developers, Rebecca oversaw the team that determined the product’s brand essence and strategic consumer rollout. This included: enlisting the LA-based “godfather of invitations,” Marc Friedland, to come on board as Postmark’s chief style director; publicizing his creation of the Academy Award winners’ envelopes and party invitations for celebrities ranging from J Lo to Elton John to Oprah and Heidi Klum, and a suite of Oscar party invitations for Postmark; launching Postmark.com with a media event for bloggers and traditional journalists; and securing local and national media coverage in outlets including the Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, C Magazine, LAist.com, Reuters and The Huffington Post.
We also worked with parent brand Evite to position the company as the category leader, with an unparalleled history and user base of 35 million, issuing statistics about parties to the media around the winter holidays, Halloween and the summer Olympics. Our pitches included how to host an Olympics Opening Ceremony Party and how to celebrate all 7 days of “Halloweek,” securing placements on Kathie Lee & Hoda’s segment on Today, Yahoo! Shine, The OC Register, The McClatchy News Syndicate and SheKnows.com, among others.
