Chef Mark Peel's Bombo
For Chef Mark Peel, regarded as one of the founders of California cuisine, Bombo represented an exciting departure from a career centered in fine dining. Opening in downtown LA’s historic Grand Central Market, Chef Peel wanted to ensure his seafood-focused fast-casual concept, using kettle drums for steaming, opened successfully and was clearly communicated to his longtime fan base while also bringing in new customers.
We created media and community relations plans to open Bombo (now renamed Prawn), carefully planning the release of its name, design and menu to key F&B media and neighboring business and residential groups. As part of Bombo’s marketing team, we developed the brand’s identity, ideated and executed promotions, and kept a steady stream of information flowing to Bombo’s target audiences.
